| tossing cold water on it. Many times you hear the "ping" and it is easy to remove after than. I would NOT do it on a tranny filled with fluid or on any parts where the hardness is an extreme factor. Great for tie rod ends, etc. No need to get them molten, just warmed up a bit. Both parts will not expand and contract the same amounts and it usually breaks free subborn parts very well. I usually use this as a last result just because I do not like putting a torch on a car unless I have to!
